Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
